Mold is a rapidly-growing fungus that can be found, at some level, just about everywhere. Mold levels can become problematic, however, in any area that is regularly dark and damp. It is often hidden within walls, behind furniture, or in other out-of-sight places. And when mold is growing in the home, it is also present in the air. Certain types of mold are considered to be toxic to the environment and require immediate attention. Inhalation of toxic molds can cause extreme sickness and lung disease. Environmental Diagnostics Laboratory (EDLab) will provide a final report, based on the BioScan400, and is included in the cost of the Fast Screen Check. This report will be generated and emailed within 3-5 business days. The lab report provided will show detailed information on the genus level of each mold type identified as measured in Counts/cm, and will have guidelines for what is considered to be a normal manageable level, as compared to the total levels of each pollutant found on the BioScan400.
